Taco seasoning

I like to make my own taco seasoning based on what we are in the mood for. I also used to miss the flavors of a certain taco chain (ding!), and so went looking for a way to get those back! Here is a basic recipe for 1 pound of ground meat.

2 T chili powder

1 t salt

1 t onion powder

1/4t garlic powder

1 t cumin

Mix and you’re done!

(For that taco chain’s tacos, you should add this spice mixture plus 1/4-1/3 C flour to the raw meat, then cook with 3/4 C water until browned. Should be thick and not lumpy.)
